Embrace the Camera: December 9th

So this addition is retro style.  I didn't have a blog when the kiddos were born, so I'm going to do a little retroactive blogging just to embrace those moments too.
These pix were on the morning of Ty's "birthday".  June 8th 2006.  We had a scheduled c-section and we were off to the hospital.  I was a bit emotional, but definitely ready.  So here we are saying goodbye to our little family of three and on our way to welcoming our party of four.  What a great day.

Aaron had no clue what was going on...but he sure caught on quick when we brought home that crying little bambino.
We used to ask Aaron all the time "What's a dog say?  Woof woof."  "What's a cat say?  Meow."  etc...
One day, when Ty was just a few weeks old, we asked him
"What does Ty Ty say?"  and with no hesitation, he said,
"WAAAA WAAAA!"

Best thing about being a Mom

One of the things I love about being a Mom is looking forward to this every morning.  It's like some sort of addiction.
I can't ever get enough of this snuggly scrumptiousness.
Lazy mornings are the greatest!
I mean seriously, How could you possibly not smile?

Have a great day!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

My kids have been on the count down for Christmas since like December 26th last year. No surprise that they were super exited to help with the festivities...

We have now added Rudolph to our roof display...Aaron LOVES him!

Again, not really sure what is up with Ty's camera face lately... but hey, I'll take what I can get!

Jeremy got the two thumbs up when he finished the outdoor decorations.

Gotta' get everything on his tree just perfect...he definitely has a vision when it comes to decorating.

Deep in concentration here.

Jeremy had to spend HOURS restringing the lights on our tree this year.  {I would not have been so smiley.}  Thanks honey!
Here is one happy little guy.  He goes in to the living room and just looks at all the ornaments sometimes.  So cute.
Notice I am not in these pictures, believe me when I say it's a good thing.  No one needs to see that.  I mean no one. =)
Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Snow Day

We celebrated our black Friday Grizwold style at the snow with my family {AKA The Grizwolds}.
This is the second time the boys have gone to the snow and they of course wanted to pull over at the first sight of the first patch of the side of the road.
Remember last year how excited they were?
It never gets old!
Luckily, we didn't have to go far to reach our winter wonderland.
{as Aaron calls it}

aaahhh...her goes the lovely air mattress down the hill.  Yes I said air mattress,  we are a little ghetto, but only sometimes.

Grandma Donna and Aaron going down the sled.

My adorable niece Madi.

Grandpa Kelly and the grand kids.

Some tired kiddos...
There is something so magical about the snow.  The kids had a blast...heck, we all did!

Embrace the Camera: December 2nd 2010

This week we are "embracing" the whole fam.  It's a bit long, but hey it was a long weekend!  We spent Thursday with my in laws and had a lot of fun. The whole crew made it out from Colorado and a full house makes for a fun house for sure!
A little Father son action

Papa Carl sneaking in on this one...
My Mother-in-Law and her 4 boys.

Good ol' family pic.

Saturday we had a second Thanksgiving at my mom's house. It was smaller, but a good time all the same...enjoy!

My Mom, my sister Beckie, my brother Khris, and my brother-in-law Marcel.

My Grandpa and Ty.

My mom with her Mom and Dad.

My Grandma with Aaron.

Jeremy and I. {Ty took this picture, pretty good huh?}

What a great weekend we had.
A whole lot of embracin' goin' on here!
We truly have so much to be grateful for...

It's a "trashy" post...

Geez!  Not that kind of "trashy".  This is a family blog! ha.ha.
Well, my boys {OK so mostly Ty} decided they HAD to make a recycling/garbage dump in my house the other day.
I knew this would result in a big mess.
I knew I would be the one to have to clean it up.
I also knew if I did not say yes to this the next words to come out of his mouth would be "play dough". I don't feel I need to explain that mess! So I gave the very reluctant "yes".
Here is what my house looked like afterwards...
Ty in his "Garbage truck".  Safety first!

Yes, Aaron is wearing bubble wrap to do his recycling.  His idea, not mine.

"Oh, look mom!  while I was recycling, something caught my eye...and it's on sale!"

The trail of garbage that needs to be recycled.

A very happy garbage man.

Oh yes, just another rainy day activity at the Grosser Zoo...

Happy Turkey Day!

I would normally be doing an embrace the camera today, but I decided to get in the spirit of Thanksgiving and take a moment to show some gratitude for all the good in my life.  Warning-this could get mushy...

I am so grateful for my family.  I know this sounds generic and everyone says it, so let me break it down for you.

First off, I have to say My husband is amazing.  He is a wonderful father to our boys and a great support to me.  He works so hard everyday so I can be home with them and I truly appreciate all that he does.  I love him so...

I am so very grateful for my sweet boys.  They make me smile everyday.  I love being their Mom.  They have truly made me a better person. I love them to infinity and beyond!

I am also so very grateful for my Mom.  I would not be who I am today with out her in my life.  I am so lucky to be so close to her.  I know I could go to her with anything and she would do her best to help me.  She has a truly selfless heart.

I am also grateful for my Dad {AKA Clark Grizwald}. He has taught me so much about life and independence.  He has also shown all of us kids how it's OK to cry...especially when it's tears of joy. Thanks Dad!

I have also been blessed with fabulous in laws.  They really care about our little family and I love them for that.  They spend quality time with my boys and it's so good to see.

I have what you would call a tight knit family and I could go on and on and on...all of my grandparents are wonderful, I have three beautiful, sweet, sometimes snarky sisters, and I have a lovable, funny brother.  My very large and extended family is also truly fabulous. Bottom line though is that we are all there for each other.  That's a great thing.  I know that my family loves me unconditionally and I have to say I love them too!

I have also been lucky enough to have such a supportive network of truly caring friends.

I am such a lucky lady.  Take a moment to thank all of the wonderful people in your lives just for being great today.  I just did!

Happy Thanksgiving!
