Dillan's Beach

This summer we were fortunate enough to go on a family vacation for my Mom's 60th birthday.  We went to Dillan's beach and had a great time!  It was definitely not the warmest of beaches and we did get caught in quite the wind storm, but we had fun nonetheless...

Mr. Cool in his element.

One thing the wind is good for...Kites!
They could have played catch the waves all day.

Yep, you look pretty darn cool too.
Auntie Auntie is a bit of a regular at Dillan's beach.

Jeremy pulled the boys back and forth for what seemed like hours on the board.  They LOVED it!
Aaron loved soaking up the warmth of the sand.
My prego sister catching a cat nap.

My 60 year old Mom with my "little" brother.
Loving every minute
My man doing the baywatch run...

Keeping this lawn ornament safe became a bit of an obsession for Beckie during the wind storm.

Kite flying and picnics on the deck

Mendocino

Jeremy and I took a long weekend and went to Mendocino this summer as a little early anniversary getaway.  We've been here a few times and we always enjoy the slow paced environment of this sleepy little town.  It was gorgeous!  We simply couldn't resist snapping pictures of all the beautiful gardens and sights around us.

We stayed at The Maccullum House {our favorite B&B} in the barn suite.  It may look a little rustic on the outside, but the interior is quite luxurious.

Our view from the deck

The main house
Like I said, the gardens around town are amazing!  Here's a few of my favorite shots...

Doing a little shopping
Taking a little break
Jeremy has me pose on this bench every time we go just for tradition sake...here's another one.

The sheer size of this tree is amazing!
We took what was supposed to be a quick hike to see this lighthouse. However, when you have a full bladder, it felt like the longest hike of my life!  I didn't really get to take in the sights here, so luckily Jeremy took pictures.

Another traditional shot...

...and yet another photo op we always do on our way home.

I always enjoy this little trip with my hubby.  Can't wait until next time!

Hola!

Jeremy and I just got back from the most FANTASTIC vacation ever!  We went to an all inclusive, adult only, resort in Cancun Mexico and I just can not say how wonderful it was.  We went with our friends Allyson and Tim which made it really fun too.  This is the first vacation where I can honestly say we did a whole lot of nothing.  We played around on the beach, lounged by the pool and got massages.  For once I did not feel like we needed a vacation after the vacation.  I came back recharged and ready to relieve my Mom from my busy boys.  It was pure bliss.
Chillin' on the beach

The water was not only gorgeous, but warm too!

On our way to snorkel.

Ready to swim with the fishies.

The ceiling in the lobby was beautiful.

Each night there was some sort of acrobatic/dance show.  They were great entertainment and let me just say, these people could do some freakishly awesome things with their bodies.

Our last morning here.

Interestingly enough it was impossible to get a good plate of nachos in Mexico.  Apparently that's more of an American thing.  Ha!  Don't get me wrong, the food was fantastic, I just really wanted Nachos.  Had to get them in the airport on our way home though.

So that's that.  I have now found my "happy place".   I told Jeremy we need to include it in the budget every year for sanity purposes.  We'll see if that happens. ;)

Disneyland

Guess what Ty?  We're going to Disneyland today!!!
Another Disney trip this year and can I just say it was the best ever!
The boys are finally at that age where we can go on the roller coasters and bigger kid rides.  It made it so much more enjoyable not to go on Small world a dozen times a day.  Matter of fact, we didn't even make it on there once this time!

We have never been there around Christmas before, so it was really special to see all of the little details Disney does to make things festive.

I took about 400 hundred pictures, but here's a few of my favs...

We went with Jeremy's parents this time.  It was really nice to have them there.  We all took turns on kid duty so we could go on the really big kid rides.  =)

Speaking of Big kid rides...this one is CRAZY!

Here we are on the inside of the Tower of Terror.  You literally scream bloody murder on this one.
The boys with Pluto
The boys got there orders in with Santa.

Grammy and Aaron on the tram

During the Christmas Parade, Ty waved at every Character and they all either waved or blew kisses to him.  It was adorable.

Aaron sat there with a smile the whole time!

A little while after the parade, we saw the fireworks which were nothing short of amazing.  The Pictures do not do them justice at all, but I had to snap a few anyway.
As if the parade and fireworks weren't enough, all of the lights turn white and it snows on Main street at the end of the night while playing White Christmas.   I know I can be a bit sappy at times, but seeing the boys face with the snow coming down made me get a bit teary.

The boys and I in front of the Haunted Mansion
Ty sniffed out the video games in the park.  As you can see he really gets into them.
One Happy Camper

Horrible picture, I know.  We had to document this though.  The boys went on Space Mountain!  Granted, they said they felt like they were going to throw up afterwards, but that's OK.  Jeremy and I had fun!

Another happy little camper in toon town.

We also went the same week as my big sis Amy.  Here's the kiddos waiting for the Storybook ride. (One of my favorites!)

Must've been good...2 thumbs up!
I love this sweet smile, I can't get enough of it!

A "toy" Family minus a mad Ty.  He would NOT pose with us unless we bought him another churro, so we did it with out him.

A NOT so happy camper. Don't mess with him!

Ty and Papa sitting out the Ferris wheel
We took a ride on the Colombian and explored the whole ship.  Really cool.

Jeremy below ship on day four.  Need I say more?
