Happy Halloween!

We had another happy Halloween this year.  We have a great neighborhood full of kids, so I bought a few ginormous bags of candy and we went through it all.  We went door to door begging for sweets and let me tell you, the boys had this whole trick-or-treating thing down!  They were so fast and moved from house to house to house etc...We actually had trouble keeping up with them!  When we got home and I noticed we were out of candy, Ty dumped all of their candy into the treat basket and {much to my dismay} and to the boys delight, it was FULL again!
Hello sugar coma?!?!
Vampire Aaron and Obi Wan Kenobi getting ready to head out.

Ty and Aaron, with their friends...

This is Aaron's all time favorite holiday and we really went all out.  We decorated inside and out and even went all out with hair color and make up.  The boy was in heaven all night.  As soon as we walked in the door after trick-or-treating, it began pouring rain.  I looked over at Aaron and he looked a little bit sad.  When I asked him why, he said he was really unhappy that he had 365 more days until next Halloween but to him it would feel like a million.  Life's rough when you're a kid...

Dillan's Beach

This summer we were fortunate enough to go on a family vacation for my Mom's 60th birthday.  We went to Dillan's beach and had a great time!  It was definitely not the warmest of beaches and we did get caught in quite the wind storm, but we had fun nonetheless...

Mr. Cool in his element.

One thing the wind is good for...Kites!
They could have played catch the waves all day.

Yep, you look pretty darn cool too.
Auntie Auntie is a bit of a regular at Dillan's beach.

Jeremy pulled the boys back and forth for what seemed like hours on the board.  They LOVED it!
Aaron loved soaking up the warmth of the sand.
My prego sister catching a cat nap.

My 60 year old Mom with my "little" brother.
Loving every minute
My man doing the baywatch run...

Keeping this lawn ornament safe became a bit of an obsession for Beckie during the wind storm.

Kite flying and picnics on the deck
Soaking up the rays with my snuggly boy

Happy 4th of July!

Another fun filled day of festivities for Independence day.  We are so fortunate to live in such a great neighborhood.  The fourth of July is always so much fun!

This year we kicked it off with swimming and BBQing, then we did a neighborhood water balloon fight.

I'm always amazed how quickly hundreds of water balloons disappear...
This one is always a favorite to those NOT on the ground...

All our little ducks on a row for the show.
What a fun day!

Comfy cozies

One thing about having kids is that I NEVER know what is going to happen on any given day.  Whether it's cars, trains, forts or haunted houses, they are always having fun.
The things they come up with to entertain themselves are great.
Here's one of their "comfy cozy" days.  They hauled all of the couch cushions from the living room onto the couch in the family room because ya' know, one couch just isn't cozy enough.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny strikes again at the Grosser house!  This time he even left a few golden, money filled eggs!

They are starting to know all of the usual hiding spots.
No egg hunt is ever complete without a timeout for tackling your brother...
Here's one very excited Aaron
The usual oh so sweet smile of my Ty.
Bubbles are always an Easter favorite.
Two very happy little boys.

The Darn Tree

Our wonderful next door neighbors have this tree that is awesome for climbing. I must admit that when the boys first discovered it, I was fully against climbing trees.
I could picture nothing good coming out of it.
Mind you, as a Mom you always picture the "what ifs".
Let me just say my mind can picture every scenario of disaster when it comes to boys climbing trees.
It's not pretty.

With much deliberation, begging and pleading, I have come to terms with this tree that our boys are crazy about.
The boys (especially Aaron) take full advantage of this.
In fact, he has admitted that it is always a sad day when he doesn't get to climb the tree.
I have also found the good in the tree.
Just look at these boys smiling faces.

Moral of the story, I actually learned something from that tree.
Sometimes as a parent, I have to let my kiddos do things that I may not be 100% comfortable with.
As hard as it is to watch, they have to learn some things on their own.
I will always try and protect them as best I can.
I am saying that sometimes I have to let them climb a tree.

Archaeologists in training

For those who don't know, my boys are are obsessed with playmobil.  With in this obsession, they have had many different interests.  Playmobil literally makes toys for every theme you can imagine.  For the past few months it has been Egyptians for Aaron which then in turn has led to him wanting to become an archaeologist.  So now you know the history, here they are practicing their skills.  The received these little archaeologist kits with treasures buried in plaster and a few tools to dig them out.  This was an awesome gift by the way, because it kept them busy foo like 2 hours!  They loved it!
Working together...two heads are better than one right?  This one was Aaron's with Egyptian artifacts.

Ty's was a Dinosaur egg.
The tools were taking FOREVER, so they decided water would help things along.

He was so excited to finally get to that dinosaur.  He really had fun with this.

Aaron swore these must be "priceless works of art".
What a fun activity this was for the boys.  Aaron now wants to collect them all so he train to become a famous archaeologist and go to Egypt as soon as possible.  Not to worry though, He said he will send me postcards and pictures everyday.  =)
