Bubbles n sticks

I've never met a kid that didn't like these two things. Bubbles and Sticks. Two of the most classic kid entertainers that will never get old.

o Christmas tree

I noticed the boys being oh so sweet and admiring the tree, so I asked the kids if I could get a picture of them in front of the tree.
This is what I got.
They are both trying to wrestle each others heads to look at the camera. Practically strangling each other. This then brought on a full on wrestling match because that's how they roll.
They are such boys.

Gotta' love weekends

First off, I have to say Mondays come around WAY too soon!  I can't believe how quickly our precious weekend family time is over.  It doesn't matter whether we are doing something or nothing at all...we love our weekends and we love our sleep.

This weekend was a bit of a bust I will admit.  Jeremy was on his deathbed with a crazy, horrible cold.  It was rainy and soggy outside.  I topped it off with an "almost" migraine.  Wonderful right?

Thankfully, our resilient boys however, had a blast wrestling, snuggling, and taking out every single toy they could get their little hands on.  They got along great which makes for a happy mommy.
They also came up with a new ritual for weekend mornings.  They always wake up "freezing".  A bit of an exaggeration, I know, but here is their solution to their problem.  I thought it was adorable...
They are even sharing the same pillow pet.  How cute is that?

Kickin' it.

So not too much going on lately...but why do I feel like I have been so busy?  I don't know, but with this cold weather we have been spending a bit more time indoors.  The boys are professionals at being "Comfy Cozy" They actually request "comfy cozy time"  once in a while and I am always happy to oblige.  Of course when this happens, I can't resist snapping a few pictures when they are quiet and still.  A rare moment in this house.
I cherish these moments.

Aaron loves to snuggle into blankets and pillows.  I call it his nest.  Oh, and Ginger is always happy to join him.

This position made me laugh.

Front view.  Aaron wiggling his loose teeth, he is not a thumb sucker.

This little guy on the other hand is still a thumb sucker.  He keeps saying his is going to be a "big boy" and stop, but then before you know it auto pilot flips on and pop goes the thumb.  Oh, and he has a little love affair with his blanket. For some reason, ever since he was a baby, he has called it his "boom boom".

Well that's all folks.

Tough guy Super-heroes

We have a bit of a tradition in this house and it's called "Smack-down". It sounds bad, i know, but it is mostly Daddy throwing, chasing, pillow-fighting and tickling the boys until they are laughing so hard they are going to pee their pants.
{In case you were wondering, it has happened.}
Yes and notice I said Daddy and not Mommy?
Ya, that is because I ALWAYS end up getting hurt.
Always.
I'm not really a wimp,
{although Ty says I don't do smack sown because I'm a girl}
my injuries have been substantial and make no mistake.  These guys are tough!  I have been cannon balled in the stomach and punched in the nose to name a few.  So the logical choice for me is to be in the audience and watch all of this madness.
I usually get a good laugh, they always put on a good show, and last night was no exception.

So about last night, the boys were particularly crazy and came up with the idea of being Super-heroes to {and I quote} "Smack Daddy down to China town!" Here is the costume came up with.

You're going down!
Complete with their tough guy faces. Not really sure what to say about this one except that I was literally laughing out loud.  These kids crack me up with all their crazy ideas.
Boo-yah!

Not sure who's winning here, but one things for sure.  Jeremy's days are numbered...
At one point Aaron said to Jeremy,
"You're not going to get away with this!  I'm a six-year-old super hero and I'm feisty!!!"
I LOVE the vocabulary he picks up.

***speaking of vocabulary, unrelated side note here...
The other day I was in my standard favorite velour sweatsuit {love them!} and no make up.
Aaron told me I looked exquisite.
What 6 year old says that?
Sure wasn't feeling exquisite until he said that.
 I love these kids.
What did I ever do for entertainment before them?

Hope everyone has an "exquisite" weekend!

It's a "trashy" post...

Geez!  Not that kind of "trashy".  This is a family blog! ha.ha.
Well, my boys {OK so mostly Ty} decided they HAD to make a recycling/garbage dump in my house the other day.
I knew this would result in a big mess.
I knew I would be the one to have to clean it up.
I also knew if I did not say yes to this the next words to come out of his mouth would be "play dough". I don't feel I need to explain that mess! So I gave the very reluctant "yes".
Here is what my house looked like afterwards...
Ty in his "Garbage truck".  Safety first!

Yes, Aaron is wearing bubble wrap to do his recycling.  His idea, not mine.

"Oh, look mom!  while I was recycling, something caught my eye...and it's on sale!"

The trail of garbage that needs to be recycled.

A very happy garbage man.

Oh yes, just another rainy day activity at the Grosser Zoo...

My wild little indians

Here is a fun little project Ty made in preschool out of grocery bags. He LOVES it.  He may even wear it on Thanksgiving.  I'll keep you posted on that. He is really enjoying school and growing up so fast.  So cute!

Aaron made one too! His first grade class had a little thanksgiving feast and they were all wearing their little hats...so fun! Aaron said it was his best day at school EVER!!!  Here he is being silly as usual...I wouldn't mess with him though, that weapon looks a little menacing!

Add a little Hip Hop to Your Day!

Ummm...I'm not quite sure where these kids got their dance genes. It is certainly not from me and it is most definitely not from Jeremy. {Sorry Honey} Yet here they are spontaneously getting down with their little selves.   I LOVE IT!!!

Freakin' Fantastic!!!

Lookin' Good

I am always cracking up at some of the outfits Jeremy comes up with to play in the backyard. I was going to post one of him because he can come up with some really hot looks...socks with flip flops, plaid pajama pants with tennis shoes...you get the idea. Anyway, when he threatened to post one of me, I had no choice but to back off. =) The boys always look cute though...even in crazy clothes.

Super Mega Marble Track

This is precisely why Daddy's are supposed to build anything with more than ten pieces. Talk about a fun Sunday morning for the boys!

Rockin' Out!

I couldn't pass this one up...Ty almost never joins in to the musical festivities! The boys got their groove on to Taylor Swift "You belong with me". I filmed this with a smile on my face the whole time. I totally wanted to sing and dance with them, lucky for you I barely restrained myself. =) It's hilarious and adorable all at once. Enjoy!!!
